Integral has worked with WH Smith on a number of projects across the country. For this project at the company’s Ringwood branch, we won a tender to remove asbestos-insulated pipes, debris and residue from walls, floor and ceiling voids. These were uncovered during structural repairs to this Grade II listed building.
The project was particularly challenging because of the age of the building, which also suffered from leaks, damp and uneven flooring. We also uncovered hard-set insulation in the floor and had to unblock an unused boiler room. This technical project was a great success and the speed of our work meant the shop only had to remain closed for two weeks.
